Ceres Farm took flight in 2013, a cohesion of skills learned over the years by Kathy Howard Petersen. Fiber arts, including knitting, crochet, spinning, & weaving, provide many of the craft goods sold by Ceres Farm. These were all learned from many family members in Kathy’s past.

Ceres Farm berry yard grows black & red currants, blueberries, gooseberries, blackberries, & raspberries, all of which are made into low-sugar preserves. Kathy also makes many varieties of other fruit preserves using local-grown fruit.

Ceres also is home to honeybees, producing a small amount of raw local honey, as well as a variety of pure beeswax candles.
Other products include handspun yarn, handwoven rag rugs & belts, and crocheted and knitted items.
