Summer is really here! Every week, new fruits & vegetables are ripening, & our farmers have them picked fresh for your table. Strawberries are ready for shortcake & jam, cherries should be coming on this week, & other berries aren’t far behind.
Lettuces & other salad greens, garlic scapes, & many other early summer crops are ready for cool summer suppers. Humanely-raised pork, beef, chicken, & goat, as well as fresh sausages are all here for your grill.
Market vendors also have eggs, maple products & honey, nursery plants, cut flowers, beeswax candles, fruit preserves, excellent baked goods (traditional, gluten-free, & keto), artisan craft goods, & a fine selection of ready-to-eat dishes.
Next week, on July 2, the New Horizons Band will present a concert of great American music, so bring your lawn chairs to relax & listen after you do your market shopping.
We are also very proud to host the Fredonia Fire Department, as they have their annual fund drive, & hope to recruit new fire fighters to serve our community. We urge anyone interested in learning about how to join our Fire Department to come down & talk to them: the need is great!
