February is almost over! We’re ordering seeds, delivering goat kids & lambs, & Tom is getting geared up for syrup season. While we know that we’ll still going to “ENJOY“ more winter weather, the days are getting longer & the birds are singing to call the sunshine out.
Wendell Maggitti will be back this Saturday with his lovely fresh tender greens from his small greenhouse (& there are many more things growing like crazy under those tunnels on Fredonia’s first & finest urban farm!). Every square foot of Wendell’s yard on Temple Street is growing delicious organic vegetables. Besides being a market vendor, he also has a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture), Fredonia Farm 2 Table. Visit Wendell at market & find out how you can subscribe to a weekly vegetable supply during the growing season.
Our other winter vendors include Gong Garden, DeGolier Maple Products, Joy Farms, Pots-n-Curries, EnJoyAble Acres, Cute & Crafty Soaps, SpiderHerbs, Green Heron Growers, Dandelions & Dreams, Om Nohm Gluten-Free Bakery, Toboggan Hill Farm, Ceres Farm, Roo Haven Farm, Aeress Designs, & Fredonia Presbyterian Church Fair-Trade Coffee & Chocolate. We also have up-coming visits from community service & non-profit groups, such as Cancer Services & Girl Scouts (cookies!!!).
Community members & patrons are encouraged to become members of our market. See Annaliese, our market manager, or ask any vendor for info. Yearly dues support the market’s vision for shopping & eating local, & entitle you to vote at our annual meeting in April.
As always, our vendors happily accept cash, credit cards, & SNAP benefits!
